Teaching and research area of work of the department
The task of the Chair is to plan and organize the implementation of the teaching process and scientific-research work in the field of non-metallic materials and it unites several related subjects that belong to the narrower scientific areas for which the Faculty is home. The department for non-metallic materials bases its teaching and scientific research on research that includes the exploitation of all types of raw materials for the production of non-metals, the production of cement, lime and gypsum, the production of industrial, construction and sanitary ceramics, polymers, glass, the production and application of refractory materials, which study plans and curricula are adapted to the needs of the non-metal industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
