Teaching and research area of work of the department
The focus of the teaching process at the Department of Iron and Steel is on the study of iron and steel production processes, thermal processes and aggregates, refractory materials, coke production, secondary metallurgy and alternative methods of iron production. The Department’s scientific research areas are: iron metallurgy, steel metallurgy, metallurgical heat engineering, rational use of energy, ecology in regard to the steel industry.
