The curriculum of the second cycle of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is a continuation of education in the scientific fields that are studied within the syllabus of the first cycle of studies with the aim of preparing students, future masters, for independent and research work. For now, the study has three study programs:

Metallurgy – Curriculum
Materials: Section of Metallic Materials and Section of Non-metallic Materials – Curriculum
Chemical engineering – Curriculum

The second study cycle lasts two semesters. Upon completion of the second cycle of studies with the final thesis – master’s thesis – the student acquires 60 ECTS points, which together with the first cycle makes 300 ECTS points.
The curriculum foresees five subjects for each study profile in the first semester. Two subjects are compulsory and three are optional. Students choose elective subjects from a group of six subjects for the Materials and Chemical Engineering study programs, or from a group of eight subjects for the Metallurgy study program. The second semester is designated for research work on the topic of the master’s thesis. 12 ECTS points are awarded for the research work, and 18 ECTS points for the master’s thesis itself.

Upon completion of studies, students acquire the following academic titles:

Master of Metallurgy
Master of Metal Materials
Master of Non-metallic Materials
Master of Chemical Technology
