The activity of the laboratory is related to the testing of cement, lime, gypsum, asphalt, mortar, fresh and hardened concrete, concrete in constructions, and prefabricated, clay, brick products, and other types of building materials.
In addition to the examination of commercial building materials, the laboratory also examines various natural and waste materials, by-products from the production of various branches of industry and the possibilities of their disposal and application in construction and the production of new materials, as well as research aimed at increasing the durability of concrete structures.
Experimental programs for doctoral dissertations, master’s theses and graduate theses, as well as laboratory exercises of professional subjects of the Department of Materials and the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Department of Product Engineering Design of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic Faculty are realized in the laboratory. .
The laboratory provides services for creating recipes for concrete and asphalt mixtures.
