Prof. Sc.D Diana Ćubela earned the title of metallurgical engineer in 1987 at the Faculty of Metallurgy in Zenica, University of Sarajevo. She defended her master’s thesis entitled “The influence of microstructural parameters on the brittleness of low-carbon steels at low temperatures” in July 1993, and she obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in 2005 by defending her doctoral thesis entitled “Contribution to the study of the technological parameters influence in manufacturing and processing on quality Nitinol alloys”. In June 2016, she was elected to the position of full time professor for the scientific field of Technical Sciences, branch of Materials, field of Metal Materials.
The entire scientific interest, as well as the teaching engagement, is related to the research of the relationship between properties – microstructure – manufacturing and processing technology – chemical composition of various metal materials (steel, metal glasses, metal foams, shape-memory alloys, non-ferrous metal alloys).
