On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the 15th International Symposium “Metallic and Non-Metallic Materials – Production, Properties, Application” – MNM 2025 will be held in Zenica. This year’s symposium once again brings together numerous local and international experts, researchers, and industry representatives. The event will feature authors from France, Turkey, Iran, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Australia, further emphasizing its truly international character.
The symposium is jointly organized by the University of Zenica – Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Yeditepe University Istanbul, and the Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers of Turkey (UCTEA). This year’s sponsors are ArcelorMittal Zenica and BH Telecom.
The program will include the presentation of 53 scientific and professional papers, authored by more than 200 contributors, reflecting the broad interest and significant engagement of both the academic and professional communities. The thematic scope of the symposium covers a wide range of current fields: metallic and non-metallic materials, metallurgy, organic and inorganic chemistry, occupational safety and environmental protection, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, environmental engineering, and sustainable development.
Over the past three decades, since its inception in 1996, the “Metallic and Non-Metallic Materials – Production, Properties, Application” Symposium has grown into one of the key platforms for knowledge exchange and the promotion of research results in a broader regional context.

A special highlight of this year’s symposium will be the plenary lectures by distinguished international experts:
Erman Car, President of the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers of Turkey (UCTEA),
Celine Fontaine and Gwendoline Lafaye, Department of Chemistry, University of Poiters, France,
Miroslav Sokić, Institute for Technology of Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials, Belgrade, Serbia.

The symposium will take place at the Hotel Zenica. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m.
